Race atlas / Tallinn 2026

Old Town start. Baltic middle. One useful system.

Switch between pacing decisions, realistic spectator stops, and hotel bases. The line is a spatial planning reference—not a certified 2026 GPX—so logistics stay connected without pretending to survey the course.

Accuracy note

Geography, not false precision.

The organizer confirms a single-lap 2026 marathon but had not published a downloadable 2026 GPX or elevation total when TripRace checked on August 24. This simplified line and elevation ribbon translate the organizer's official 2025 map and detailed course description into planning geography. They are not 2026 certification, exact turn guidance, or a measured total gain. Use the final participant guide and course map on race week.

Tallinn looks fast on paper, but the smart race is built around exposure and concentration—not an elevation number the organizer has not published.

What is confirmed—and what is not

The organizer confirms a single-lap, fast-profiled 42.195 km road course, a 09:00 Falgi Road start and finish, official splits every 5 km plus halfway, and a six-hour limit. The published intermediate limits are 3:00 at 21.1 km and 4:15 at 30 km.

TripRace did not find a downloadable 2026 GPX or official elevation total on August 24. The atlas simplifies the organizer's official 2025 map and detailed description to show how the city, coast, Astangu loop, and return relate; do not use it for turn-by-turn navigation.

  • Follow the final 2026 participant guide and course map over any TripRace reference.
  • Treat the schematic elevation ribbon as course character, not measured gain.
  • Use official 5 km splits to pace the race you are actually running.

No published elevation gain means no fake number. Tallinn can still be planned well from verified course structure, wind exposure, and official aid timing.

Run effort through the coastal middle

The organizer-described route leaves the Old Town edge for Kalamaja and North Tallinn, reaches Stroomi, extends through the Astangu loop, and returns by Rocca al Mare. That long middle can feel quiet and exposed even when the vertical profile is friendly.

Hold goal effort when a headwind raises pace cost, and use legal groups without weaving. A tailwind is not an instruction to surge. Your best outcome comes from arriving at 30 km with posture, fueling, and decision-making intact.

  • First 10 km: settle behind the right pacer and let density clear.
  • 10–30 km: hold effort through direction changes and coastal exposure.
  • Final 12 km: gradually press only after confirming the legs and stomach.

Build fueling around the published stations

Aid stations are listed every 3–5 km with water and orange-flavored Dexal. Different marathon stations add bananas, oranges, sugar, bread, and salt; Enervit gel stations are listed at 20 km and 34 km.

Organizer-provided nutrition is useful only if it matches training. Carry your practiced fuel when needed, know whether caffeine belongs in your plan, and take enough time at reusable-cup stations to drink rather than wearing the fluid.

  • Pacers are listed from 3:00 through 6:00 in 15- or 30-minute steps.
  • Place reusable cups in the marked yellow collection boxes.
  • Outside assistance is prohibited by the race regulations.

Edition status

The organizer has confirmed the September 11–13, 2026 weekend, Sunday 09:00 marathon, Falgi Road start and finish, Freedom Square race office and expo hours, entry pricing, and participant services. The organizer calls every 2026 route single-lap and fast-profiled, but TripRace did not find a downloadable 2026 GPX or a published elevation total on August 24. The atlas therefore uses clearly labeled reference geography from the organizer's official 2025 course map and description; the final 2026 map and participant instructions always override it.
