September in Tallinn is running-friendly on average, but the Baltic can deliver sun, wind and rain in one weekend. Pack for the start wait and coastal exposure, then race the live forecast.

Read the climate as a range
Estonia's Environment Agency lists September 1991–2020 Tallinn-Harku average minimum and maximum temperatures at about 8.4°C and 16.1°C, with 58 mm of monthly precipitation. Those are planning normals, not a forecast for September 13.
The TripRace rain percentage is a coarse historical planning value derived from a published September observation set, so the live seven-day forecast should replace it when available.
- Plan a dry start layer and a warm finish layer.
- Bring a cap or visor for rain without overheating.
- Protect shoes and race kit from travel-day rain.
Wind changes the pacing math
Tallinn-Harku's September normal wind speed is published at 3.0 m/s, but coastal gusts and direction matter more than the average. The long exposed middle deserves an effort plan before race morning.
In a headwind, reduce pace pressure and find a legal rhythm with others. In a tailwind, take the free speed without stretching beyond marathon effort.
- Check wind direction as well as temperature.
- Use effort or power cues if GPS pace jumps near buildings or turns.
- Do not overdress for a cool, still start if the day warms toward 16°C.
Make the forecast actionable
Seven days out, assign clothing, throwaway layer, shoes, hat, gloves, and spectator kit to specific forecast thresholds. The goal is a decision tree, not repeated weather-app checking.
Spectators should carry more insulation than the runner: they will stand still near open streets while the runner produces heat.
- Wet and cool: light shell before the start, brim, dry finish clothes.
- Dry and mild: disposable layer only if the wait requires it.
- Windy: secure bib, hat, and spectator signs before leaving the hotel.

The organizer has confirmed the September 11–13, 2026 weekend, Sunday 09:00 marathon, Falgi Road start and finish, Freedom Square race office and expo hours, entry pricing, and participant services. The organizer calls every 2026 route single-lap and fast-profiled, but TripRace did not find a downloadable 2026 GPX or a published elevation total on August 24. The atlas therefore uses clearly labeled reference geography from the organizer's official 2025 course map and description; the final 2026 map and participant instructions always override it.
