What is confirmed now

NYRR's current 2026 cancellation page confirms an October 29–31 expo window. The exact location, public hours, appointment process, and pickup rules still require the final 2026 expo page and runner guide.

Treat any Javits Center reference as a previous-edition operating pattern until NYRR publishes the 2026 location. Keep Friday and Saturday plans flexible enough to match the appointment in the runner's dashboard.

  • Confirmed: Thursday, October 29 through Saturday, October 31.
  • Pending: venue, daily hours, appointment windows, guest rules, and final pickup documents.
  • Official 2026 publication overrides hotel distance and transit advice.

Do not build a Saturday flight around an unconfirmed closing time.

What to bring

Recent editions required the runner to appear in person with photo ID and the confirmation form from the NYRR dashboard. Treat those as the working checklist until the 2026 runner guide replaces it.

  • Screenshot the confirmation form before entering a crowded building.
  • Confirm the shirt size and transportation selection.
  • Do not buy anything you plan to race in for the first time.

Keep it under control

Recent expos used the Javits Center and timed pickup windows, but the 2026 location and hours need final confirmation. Give yourself an exit time before you enter.

  • Friday is safer than a last Saturday slot.
  • Eat before the expo if crowds make you impulse-buy food.
  • Save the official merchandise lap for after the bib is secured.

The moment NYRR publishes the 2026 expo page, its location, dates, hours, and pickup rules replace every historical pattern here.

Budget the door-to-door visit

The expo visit includes hotel transit, building entry, pickup, problem solving, optional shopping, and the return trip. Put a limit on the standing and walking rather than treating only the bib counter as the task.

If the support crew wants more time with brands or merchandise, separate after the runner has the bib and all race-day selections are confirmed. The runner can return to the hotel while the crew continues.

  • Choose the route with fewer fragile transfers, not simply the shortest map time.
  • Carry water, a familiar snack, and only the shopping bag you are prepared to hold.
  • Take a seated break before the trip back if standing time exceeded the plan.

Ask accessibility questions before arrival

Travelers who need an accommodation should use NYRR's published accessibility contact and confirm the venue route, entry process, pickup assistance, and support-runner requirements before expo day.

The hotel-to-expo journey is part of accessibility. Verify the station elevators, building entrance, and return route rather than assuming a venue's accessible label solves every transfer.

  • Keep accommodation correspondence with the runner confirmation.
  • Allow additional time without placing the visit in the final Saturday slot.
  • Ask the organizer—not social media—for rules involving guides, support runners, wheelchairs, or medical devices.

Leave with the morning solved

Before leaving, verify the bib details, selected transportation, baggage option, and any runner-guide update that affects your wave. Take a screenshot while the information is in front of you rather than relying on memory at 4 a.m.

The expo should reduce uncertainty. If a purchase, photo line, or brand activation creates more walking or a new race-day experiment, skip it and come back to the city after the finish.

  • Set a meeting place outside the busiest expo entrance.
  • Carry water and a small familiar snack.
  • Return to the hotel before fatigue starts changing dinner decisions.

Edition status

NYRR has confirmed the Sunday, November 1, 2026 race date, the completed March 4 drawing, and the October 29–31 expo window. Detailed transportation selections, expo hours and location, wave times, viewing controls, and finish-area operations still require the final 2026 runner guide. Historical patterns below stay labeled until NYRR replaces them.
