The course
Two laps starting beside the 1912 Olympic Stadium and looping through central Stockholm — Östermalm, Gamla Stan, Kungsholmen and Södermalm — before a three-quarter lap on the Stadium track to the line. Elevation is modest, about 208 meters total over the race, but the bridges and the Katarinavägen and Västerbron climbs come early on each loop, and the cobbles through the medieval Old Town are hard on tired feet.
