The course
The point-to-point course leaves the Duke Kahanamoku statue on Kalakaua Avenue, runs west to Aloha Tower, returns through Waikiki, and saves its real work for Diamond Head Road around miles 9 to 10. The finish sits in Kapiolani Park. Most of the route is flat, but the late climb lands after the sun and humidity have had time to build.
